ABOUT ABOUT

In this free workshop, executive directors and their board chairs will learn the critical importance of development plans in driving the success of their nonprofit and the personal leadership growth of their Executive Director. Getting rid of our typical performance review format, this training will help participants cultivate a new approach to growth roadmaps, creating development plans, by working through an innovative development approach to annual reviews. Participants will explore strategies for having difficult, yet essential conversations, setting and achieving yearly goals, and fostering an organizational culture of "feed-forward" - allowing time to focus on future growth and improvements.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the significance of growth roadmaps for their executive directors and organizational effectiveness

  • Master techniques for initiating and navigating challenging conversations between board members and directors

  • Develop actionable yearly goals that align with organizational vision and personal growth plans

  • Cultivate a proactive, growth-oriented feed-forward culture, emphasizing continuous improvement and forward-thinking solutions

Participants who attend this session will leave with an annual assessment tool. They will also have the opportunity for 1:1 coaching to walk through the review tool and create goals. This includes follow-up timelines and expectations for the executive director and board to use moving forward.
